TurBud SMAN 3 Bandung Goes to Bali! #2019

Hello! Now, I will tell you about my journey in TurBud (Tur Budaya) Goes to Bali with my school, SMA N 3 Bandung! It was held on March 17-21 2019.

17th March, on the first day, we departed by plane from the Hussein Sastranegara airport. My class, XI Science 9, including group 3 is taking off around one o'clock using an Air Asia plane. I sat on a plane with Rama and Elviana, we just talked for a while then fell asleep until we arrived on the mainland. We arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport at around 4 p.m WITA. On arrival, we gathered together for a briefing on the next activity. We continued the trip by bus with our tour guide heading to Jimbaran Beach to have dinner there, we should have gone to Tanah Lot first, but because the time was not enough, so we only went to Jimbaran Beach.

When in Jimbaran beach, we are given free time for 1 hour to take pictures or just enjoy the beauty of the beach. I took advantage of that time to take pictures with friends and play the sand. While there, I didn't dare to be hit by the beach water because I used sneakers at the time. After the free time ran out, we gathered to have dinner together, the menu was seafood and in my opinion it was very delicious. A few minutes after eating, suddenly heavy rain came and it made us have to take shelter. Then we are go to the bus and go to the hotel to take a rest, that's the Quest Hotel.

18th March, on the second day, first, we head to Tanjung Benoa to do various watersports, there are parasailing, banana boat, jetski, flying fish, donut boat, water ski, wake boarding, glass bottom boat + turtle island, snorkeling, speedboat, banana rafting, bumper boat, disco boat, ninja mask snorkeling
, parasailing adventure, knee board, fly board, hover board, diving, and seawalker. The price also varies, the range from Rp.125,000 to Rp.1,000,000. There are some rides that cannot be ridden at that time because of unfavorable wind conditions. I only chose the glass bottom boat + turtle island because it was the only watersport that didn't make my clothes wet. I chose that watersport because I didn't want to make my clothes wet, honestly I didn't like watersports and I was too lazy to take a shower and change clothes there. The purpose of the watersport is that I will go to Turtle Island using a glass bottom boat, not too far from Tanjung Benoa to Turtle Island. During the trip I was able to see the beauty of the underwater boat, and I was allowed to feed fish in the middle of the sea. A few minutes later, I arrived at Turtle Island. There are various kinds of turtles, snakes and birds. We are allowed to take pictures with them. I took pictures with turtles and birds, I was too scared to take pictures with snakes. After we were satisfied there, we returned to Tanjung Benoa using the same boat. Some of my friends went on to the other watersports, but I chose to sit on the beach while enjoying an coconut ice drink.

Then, we went to Pandawa Beach to have fun there just to take pictures and relax. We were given one hour there. I take pictures with friends there. In my opinion it's a beautiful beach and we arrived there at midday so the light was beautiful enough to take pictures. I took a lot of photos there.

Next, we went to GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana). It was the only turbud destination I really wanted. I really want to go there because I really like the works of the artist I Nyoman Nuarta and his legendary work is the statue of GWK. I loved his works starting when I visited the museum of his works, the NuArt Sculpture Park museum. I love the works of his sculptures which have very deep meaning in every stroke, and I managed to find those meanings. Therefore, I was very happy when I arrived at GWK. At GWK, we held a photo of one school and continued with a photo of one class. After that, we get a free time to take pictures too. I take pictures with friends and the statue of GWK. One more thing that makes me happy is that the photo of I posted on Instagram (@restisaptao) while at GWK was liked by Instagram account of Mr. Nyoman, thank you, Mr. Nyoman. I'm waiting for your next work art for nation.

Last, we went to an art show, Devdan Show. This is a very famous elite show in Bali. I was very lucky to see this show. Devdan Show displays the cultures that exist in Indonesia starting from west to east. The dancers and costumes are very cool and I was very surprised at every show. The duration is long but I don't feel bored when watching it. I hope to be here again. After the show, we went to the hotel to take a rest.

19th March, on the third day, First, we went to Tirta Empul.  Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. It feels very customary there. When I went there, there was preparing for the full moon night ceremony. I had time to take a photo with the children who took part in the preparation.

Then we went to Kintamani restaurant, which is one of the fancy all-you-eat restaurants in Bali that contains 25 menus. In the restaurant, traditional and international menus are available. Then we went to the Desa Adat Penglipuran . It is a very thick village with Balinese culture. When we got there, suddenly heavy rain fell and we took shelter in one of the residents' houses there and we were unable to explore the village. Then we returned to the hotel to prepare for the Makrab (Malam Keakraban).

After sunset, we went to the Nirmala hotel. we have to use bohemian theme clothes at the event. In the Makrab we laughed together and sang together too. There are show from tst, band3, mk3, and videos from mp3. Other than that, there was a door prize from Wakatra. Makrab done until 11pm and we went to the hotel to take a rest.

20th March, on the fourth day, First, we went to Kuta Beach. We get free time there very long. after that, we can shop at Krisna. At Krisna Store, Balinese souvenirs are very complete. I was very enthusiastic in buying souvenirs in the form of Balinese art statues. I bought 5 Balinese statues, namely a cat statue, a fish statue, a Buddhist mask statue, a statue of Rama Shinta, and a statue of one of the kings in Bali. Besides, I bought some clothes, some foods, musical instruments, and another small souvenirs.

Next is our last destination in Bali, which is to Bedugul. Bedugul is the name of both a small city and a mountain-lake resort area, which has long been used for weekend retreats. Bedugul is an excellent base for walking trips around the lakes and surrounding hills. Bedugul is located in a high plateau at the center of the Island. Cool water and mists are natural for the place. Bedugul is a resort in Beratan Mountains, Beratan Lake and also the Ulun Danu.

Finally, our trip in Bali was finished. after that last destination, we went home. First, we went to the port to cross the Bali Strait by boat. Then, the next day we used the bus to Surabaya to go to the station. Finally, we returned to Bandung using the train and arrived the next day on March 22 2019 at 5 am. I really liked everything while in Bali.
